Richmond Championship Show 2016 Critique

PD(2,0)

1.Peach’s Kilbourne Kaine,Really promising youngster,like his head and eyeshape.Taller mould but has all essentials,crested neck,well developed ribbing,slightly longer in stifle to hock than 2,sound mover.BPIB.
2.Baumann’s Packway Loxley Norton,At a different stage of development,standing a little elbowy in front but has lots of time to come on and build on his frame.Well grown and moved soundly.

PGD(3,1)

1.Phillips’ Hyndsight To The Limit with Ladygrove,Lovely male has balanced head with lovely eye.Neck well let into front.Good front and rear angulation.Good depth of brisket,gentle topline,balanced hindquarters.Absolutely sound.
2.Grimshaw’s Greyflax Domino to Jamalison,Clean skull,good reach of neck ,pasterns slightly more upright than 1.Well ribbed back.Wide hindquarters but not as powerful on the move.

LD(4)

1.Shannon’s Erewhon Celestial Fire,Best construction in class,reach of neck into good shoulder placement.Slight spring to pastern.well developed rib with good spring and depth.Moved well.
2.Grimshaw’s Greyflax The Jazz Singer to jamalison,Heavier type and not shoulder of 1.Needs to spring in rib,but good shape to topline.Well muscled.
3.Peach’s Kilbourne Tyne.

OD(4,0)

1.Finnett & Heathcote’s Ch.Hyndsight Desperado,Quality head and expression with neat ears.Flow of neck into shoulder,well boned,lovely shape to body without exaggeration.Balanced hindquarters, very sound mover.Gave an overall balanced outline with substance,well deserved CC.
2.Helps’ Beardswood Quinlan,Lovely head type and overall shape.Not the angles of 1 but is so typical in his manner and style.Slighlty longer in 2nd thigh and not the width when moving away.ResCC.
3.Baumann’s Ch.Regalflight Tarloch

PGB(7,3)

1.Barret’s Stranwith Rafaela,Lovely bitch,loved her head and expression.Feminine but has good bone substance.Flowing body lines,not quite the strength of hindquarter but preferred her type to 2.
2.Finnet & Heathcote’s Hyndsight Magic in the Night,Shorter coupled,balanced head with neat ears.Well constructed with good angulation and overall body shape.Sweeping hindquarters,not a light on her feet in profile as 1.
3.Heap’s Leoch Juniper of Fintalloch.

LB(8,2)

1.Doak’s Rosslyn Qorrie,Classic type and build,headed a lovely class.Nicely proportioned and constructed with substance without losing her femininity.Lovely balanced head and eye with depth of jaw.Strong neck.Flowing body shape.Moved well.Res CC.
2.Swanson’s Cotherstone Brogue of Altimarlach.Pushed 1 hard and  and much of the same applies.very similar in build and shape.Moved well in profile but not as positive in front.
3.Finnet & Heathcote’s Hyndsight Because the Night.


OB(7,2)

1.Phillips’ Charbonnel Gobi to Ladygrove Completely filled my eye with her type,shape and  soundness.Very nice to go over with feminine head,good reach of neck flowing into strong front.She had that little bit extra and looked so completely together on the move. CC & BOB.
2.Constantine’s Gentiehun Adelaide of Kaleginy Head not my type but lovely overall construction. Slightly more compact than 1 but shapely and moved very well.
3.Shannon’s Erewhon Wanton Flame.
